"The [Ethiopia] eunuch said, See here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Paul commanded the chariot to stand still; and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him" (Acts 8:36, 38).

The church is more than a building.  The church is the community of the Cross.  The church is a living, breathing organism composed of Spirit-filled believers like you and me.

As the salt of the earth, we are called to impact our surroundings.  Unlike a lamp's immediate brightness, salt works gradually, making an impact in its environment to bring about change. The call to be salt, a city on a hill, and a lamp is a call to allow the Lord to reign as Lord in our lives.

Jesus was the gospel. He was the living embodiment of good news. The good news is both personal and missional, personal because Jesus has saved us, and missional because we must share this abundantly good news with others.
